Privacy
Short version: Doom Down is offline-first and does not track you. Here is the longer version.
The short version
What we do not do
- No ads.
- No tracking or analytics.
- No third-party scripts.
- No data sold or shared with anyone.
How your data works
Doom Down is a progressive web app. By default it stores everything in your browser's local storage on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. You can use the entire app as a guest, fully offline.
Without an account
Your schedules, routines, sleep ratings, and stats live only in your browser. Clearing your browser data removes it. There is no server copy.
With an optional account
If you create an account, we store only what is needed to sign you in and to back up your data across devices:
- Your email address.
- A password hash (scrypt). We never store or see your password.
- Your backup: schedules, routines, nights, ratings, and personal goals.
Cloud backup is optional and per user. Switching accounts on a device pauses sync so one person's history is never uploaded into another's.
Security
Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sessions use HttpOnly cookies. The app is served over HTTPS. You can export your data as JSON or delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, they are handled by your browser or device. We do not use them to track you or to send marketing.
Your choices
- Export your data (JSON) from the account screen.
- Delete your account and all server data at any time.
- Use the app as a guest with no account at all.
